Day 4: Onward to Melbourne (Aug 14)

We are now all loaded up for the next leg of our trip - onward to Melbourne! Will be back to Sydney again on 21 Aug for the second part of our stay with Desmond, Eudora and Yannis.

Touchdown at International House (IH), University of Melbourne - the resident hall where Wai Bing first stayed in during her undergraduate days 24 years ago! Now she is back here with the fruit of her labor - two daughters and one husband!

 

Once we settled in at IH (a comfortable 2-bedroom apartment with a living room and kitchen facilities), it is off to Lygon Street to locate our favorite Italian makan place where we last dine in 15 years ago (one year before Eliza's birth). Yes - we managed to locate it - Papa Gino!

After 15 years, I can still recall my favorite - Marinara Pizza! (I am impressed with their generous portion of toppings). The girls' really like the Meat Lovers Pizza.

After the nostalgic meal at Papa Gino, we headed down to Woolsworth to stock up some supplies for the coming few days. Of course, the girls had their own way of having fun! Oh yes, along the way, we could not resist having some Gelato! Yes, Melbourne is the place for great makan...
